Derek Morris

Location - Isle Of Man

Well known on the Isle Of Man, Derek has been involved in the Financial Services sector since 1986 when he formed Morris Brokers Limited. Morris Brokers grew to become the largest Independent Insurance Broker and Financial Advisory Service on the island.

The company arranged pensions, life cover and other financial products, as well as general insurances mostly for Isle of Man residents and companies. It worked closely with professional contacts including Accountants, Lawyers and Estate Agents.

Morris Brokers became MBL and the general and commercial department was sold in 2005. Subsequently, in 2010, the financial services company was sold and Derek started consulting on various other business activities including foreign exchange, specialist mortgage introductions and property investment.

Katrin Maja O’Flynn

Location - Germany

Katrin graduated from Berlin University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 and after some work experience returned to her studies to complete her MBA in 2002.

During her travels in 2003 she came across Cape Town in South Africa and decided this was a place she could call home.

Until her departure back to Germany in 2016, Katrin co founded, as well as ran, a number of companies including South Africa’s largest independent immigration company.

Her knowledge of dealing with international moves for both corporates and individuals led her into the money transfer environment. Her ability to put in place systems, checks and balances makes her a natural fit in the money transfer industry which needs to be a smooth and efficient process.

Nico, a member of the South African gliding team, commenced his business life off at Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Realising that the auditing profession was not the right fit, he sought another challenge and was one of the first employees of PWC Financial Services Provider.

In 2004, Nico made the move to set up business with a couple of partners. From humble roots the group of companies have grown internationally to include entities in property, financial services and emigration.
